Her Costly Affair, a 1996 TV film that she played her first part in, was her debut performance. The struggle she had to get an appearance on Starship Troopers, a film which featured only minor characters, was very intense. It was difficult when she had to change between modeling and acting because the models were never believed to be actors and tended to be granted smaller, insignificant roles. The film she starred in was the love story Just Friends alongside Ryan Reynolds.
