Amy Smart, an American actress and former model. Amy Smart was born and raised in California, USA. She began modelling in Italy. Her acting debut came at the age of 16 in The TV film Her Costly Affair. The struggle she had to get a part in Starship Troopers, a film with mainly minor roles was extremely intense. It was very difficult when she had to change between modeling and acting because the models were never thought of as actors, and they were usually granted smaller, insignificant roles. Amy persevered. She climbed the ladder to greater roles, starting in The 70s series and Varsity Blues film. She then ventured into the leading roles with the 2005s romantic comedy film Just Friends which also starred Ryan Reynolds. Amy gained the recognition she had been searching for for more than 10 years when her film, Just Friends was released. Amy continued to make important films, including the Crank series opposite Jason Statham and the series Shameless where she played an adored recurring character.
