Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington resides in the US and is a writer from Greece, a syndicated columnist and businesswoman. She founded The Huffington Post, is the chief executive officer and co-founder of Thrive Global as well an author of fifteen novels. Arianna Huffington, an independently-owned liberal news site and a television host author, author and philanthropist. She was born in Greece and moved to England at the age of 16. In Cambridge University, she graduated with an MA of Economics. Being the first non-English-speaking student, she was elected president of The Cambridge Union' at age 21. Following after her college graduation, she was an influential Conservative syndicated journalist. A few more years later she created The Huffington Post which featured criticism of the present political landscape. The fame of Arianna has led to the attraction of many well-known contributors for posting their thoughts on news as well as politics and culture. Arianna gained fame after she made the decision in 2003 to stand as an independent Candidate in the California Recall election to succeed the former governor Davis. The project she headed was the Detroit fuel-efficient car project. In 2009 she was recognized by Forbes as The most influential female media personality, taking the 12th place on the listing and the following year the Guardian included her in the top 100 of media lists. AOL purchased The Huffington Post from AOL in 2011. She was then made the President of the media division at AOL. The group included several AOL-owned brands, including Engadget AOL Style List and Patch Media. Her parents were journalist and management consultant Konstantinos along with his partner Elli Stasinopoulos. While she enjoyed a strong relationship with both her father and mother but it was their connection which shaped her. From her early years, she demonstrated leadership skills that remain highly respected. When she moved to England, she was sixteen to further her studies and then enrolled in Girton College Cambridge. In college, she was a member of the Cambridge Union, a college debate club. As the third woman president, and also the first foreigner she was the president of the Cambridge Union. In 1972, her master's in Economics was conferred. In the years following after graduation she worked as a journalist and TV host. In addition, she was a part of the show Face the music along with Bernard Levin and began writing books with editorial assistance from Bernard Levin.
