Lucy-Liu
Lucy Liu is an American director, actress, and singer. Liu is a gorgeous, talented actress who has helped many Asian actors to achieve success in Hollywood. After a series of initial appearances in some popular series she gained fame when she joined the cast of the comedy legal series Ally McBeal where she played the villainous Ling Woo. She translated her sudden fame into major screen roles in films like Shanghai Noon and Charlie's Angels. For Kill Bill Volume 1, Quentin Tarantino, she gave an impressive performance as Japanese criminal O-Ren Ishii. At the same time, she played major roles in other box-office failures like Rise: Blood Hunter. Then, she was able to play characters that were prominent in animation films such as Kung Fu Panda. Mia Mason's performance in Cashmere Mafia, a small screen feature, failed to result in any outcomes. An appearance in the critically-acclaimed police drama Southland allowed her to regain recognition as an actress of note. Liu takes her time choosing roles so as to prevent being stereotyped in an industry that's highly competitive. Even though she's accepted the roots of her family, she has not let it limit her ability to express herself as an artist.
